Pennsylvania State Fire Police Association

Before beginning the course, please read the new Title 35,

Subchapter D, the Special Fire Police enabling legislation.

There are questions from Title 35 on the test!

This course is intended to the individual who has no fire experience and wants to know what a Special Fire Police Officer does.  It provides basic information and orientation such that an individual completing the course knows some facts about Volunteer Fire Company and Special Fire Police operations.  It is not intended that completion of this course enables an individual to operate on the street, but it does place a new member in a better position than that member would be without the course.

The training course Introduction to Fire Police is in final version
It is a large file and may take a couple of minutes to load.  Be patient.
(If you have a problem with the training course, see below)

After you finish the course and before taking the test, please review the article at: http://www.fireengineering.com/articles/2012/06/redefining-the-engine-company.html.
This is an excellent example of how firefighters are trained to do the job and gives you additional insights in fire company tactical operations.

To take the test click here.  Enter your name as you would like it to appear on the Certificate. If you successfully complete the test, a certificate from the Pennsylvania Fire Police Association will be emailed to you within 48 hours.

If the course does not seem to be loading in Internet Explorer, check the bar just above the web site screen to see if it is asking whether you want to allow Flash to run.  Click the bar to allow flash.  If if still will not load, try using Google Chrome as your internet browser

If your training course program sticks at slide 14, press back arrow to return to the start screen, press F12 and choose cache at the bottom of the screen.  Choose clear browser cache for this domain and accept the clearing by choosing yes in the acceptance window.  The program should run normally now.
